will host
Asia
’s first comprehensive waste management event ASIA WASTE MANAGEMENT EXPO & FORUM (AWAM) 2008 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 28 - 30 October 2008. It will showcase the latest technology and services for solid waste collection, recycling, disposal and waste-to-energy conversion. This event will bring together over 7,000 buyers and delegates to examine the latest issues from curbside collection to hazardous waste disposal, from municipal recycling programs to modern landfill operations.
Supported by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, AWAM 2008 is the most anticipated industry event in the region. Across Asia, waste management has emerged as one of the biggest environmental issues faced by cities. For example,
